EQUIPMENT - Safety first! we use only humane walking equipment
Martingale CollarThe martingale collar was designed orignally for greyhounds because their neck and head are the same circumphrence. It is designed to tighten when and if the dog pulls forward and release when the dog retracts. Considered human and used by many rescue shelters.

Gentle Leader Head HarnessThe head harness pictured is a sporn headharness which encourages unruly dogs to walk with you. The design originated from working with horses. I particularly like this style because it adjusts to tighten only if the dog pulls and release when they retract. Found online at drsfosterandsmith.com

Tellington Balance HarnessTHE BEST!! The Balance Harness or Step-in-Harness A step-in-harness is beneficial to the dog’s balance because the point of attachment is above the shoulders. There are 2 points of contact with your dog allowing you to easily guide and communicate the direction you wish to walk. Cost approximately $20.Order directly from Tellington Touch website

Easy Walk HarnessThis harness is designed with no contact to the throat but rather to gently direct the dog to turn toward you if they try to walk ahead or pull you. There is a clip at the front and on the top of the harness. I've had clients rave about this one. You can pick these up inexpensively at a retail store or on line at drsfosterandsmith.com

Click Click Clickers!!Clickers are a neutral sound used to mark a wanted behavior. You mark the behavior with a click then treat the dog immediately. So, Clickers work in conjunction with a treat in order to create a pleasurable expeience for your dog. The association and changed behavior is immediate! The clicker is are eventually replaced with praise and then the treat phased out. It really works!! We offer them to clients free. You can buy them at any dog essentials store.
